When did you first start boxing? I started boxing when I was about 10 years old. Did you play any other sports growing up? Yes, I played basketball and football growing up. Who were your favorite athletes growing up? Lebron James and Floyd Mayweather always have been my favorite two athletes. When did you know we're going to be a professional boxer? When I won my first golden gloves I knew I wanted to take it more serious and become a pro. Boxing is a dangerous sport, what motivates you to fight? All of the pain and the struggle I feel like boxing chose me I didn't choose it so it's meant to be. How did you get your nickname “Young General”? Everyone called my dad General so I'm the YG! Where do you train in New Jersey? Elite Heat Boxeo in Newark. Which fight(s) was your most memorable one so far? So far I feel like my loss because I learned a lot from it and it made me that much better. What are your goals that you want to reach as a professional boxer? My goal is to become a world champion that's my dream and I feel this fight vs Kemahl Russell on September 9th would get me one step closer. Any advice for younger guys looking to get into boxing? Yes work hard and don't worry about the next man. If you could have set a dream fight with anyone, who would it be? Myself lol. Is boxing your full-time job? Yes. What do you like to do in your free time/offseason? In boxing, there is no off season. But I'm a laid back guy I just like to relax and chill. What's your favorite thing about PG Sports? The owner is the coolest. One of the coolest guys I ever met.
